NCCRED Clinical Research Network
NCCRED is establishing a national Clinical Research Network. Within the Clinical Research Network will be two working groups: The Methamphetamine and Emerging Drugs Clinical Research Network Working Group and the soon to be finalised Clinical Reference Group. The two groups will guide the work of NCCRED, as well as a wider stakeholder network. NCCRED will work with these groups to define priorities from a clinical and service perspective. This will ensure that the work of the Centre will be focused by and relevant to the needs and contexts of clinicians.
NCCRED Methamphetamine and Emerging Drugs Clinical Research Network Working Group
The Working Group (WG) has been established to guide the clinical research strategy and capacity building work of NCCRED. The WG is a core group of Australian clinical researchers working on developing sound evidence about clinical responses to those using methamphetamine and emerging drugs. The purpose of the WG is to mobilise a national research network and contribute to the evolving research strategy and capacity development activities of NCCRED, including advice and support for the seed funding, mentorship, and fellowships program of NCCRED.

Clinical Reference Group
The Clinical Reference Group (CRG) will bring together a core group of Australian clinicians providing treatment and early intervention services for people with substance use disorders related to methamphetamine and other emerging drugs of concern. This will ideally include a range of clinicians from a spectrum of services, locations, and affected populations and will include consumer and supporter/carer representation. The CRG will steward and support the development of NCCRED’s Workforce Development Strategy; including needs analysis, training and education resources, supervision, support and mentoring opportunities, advising, reviewing and disseminating NCCRED’s clinical materials.
