Baillee Farah is an advocate and early career researcher working towards more equitable and beneficial health policy and practice, with a focus on alcohol and other drugs. They are the National Research Coordinator of Students for Sensible Drug Policy Australia, and a Research Assistant and Teaching Fellow at UNSW Sydney. Their community and academic work focusses on drug policy, harm reduction, young people, participatory research and research ethics, nightlife, and drug education. Baillee has ten years working and volunteering at festivals across peer-led harm reduction and RSA supervision, with a particular interest in drug education and reforming policy to both guide and support the harm reduction practices currently adopted by people who use drugs and their peers. Baillee has a background in medical sociology and criminology, and has qualifications across social sciences, research, and counselling.
