Professor Adrian Dunlop

Professor Adrian Dunlop has over 24 years experience as an addiction clinician and clinician/researcher. He currently serves as the Director and Addiction Medicine Senior Staff Specialist with Hunter New England Local Health District, Drug & Alcohol Clinical Services (2007-current).

He is a Conjoint Professor with the School of Medicine and Public Health, University of Newcastle and a member of the Centre for Translational Neuroscience and Mental Health, University of Newcastle and Hunter Medical Research Institute. 

He was the Chief Addiction Medicine Specialist (2014 – 2018) for the Centre for Population Health, NSW Ministry of Health, is a Past President of APSAD and the NSW/ACT branch chair of the Australasian Chapter of Addiction Medicine, RACP. He was awarded a Churchill Fellowship in 2005 and is a James Rankin Orator 2012.
