Stassi is a research assistant and doctoral student. He works mainly on NCCRED's Prompt Response Network. Stassi's doctoral thesis relates to illicit drug-related monitoring and early warning systems with a particular focus on non-prescribed ketamine.
Stassi graduated from the University of Otago (Dunedin, Aotearoa New Zealand) with a BASc majoring in philosophy and neuroscience (2022), and with BSc (Hons) in neuroscience (2023). Stassi has been involved in the harm reduction and drug policy advocacy space in both Australia and Aotearoa, volunteering for Know Your Stuff (NZ), and Students for Sensible Drug Policy-Otepoti (NZ). He is currently a member of the SSDP Australia research circle.
