Audit of Australian methamphetamine-related clinical guidelines

The National Centre for Clinical Research on Emerging Drugs (NCCRED) commissioned the National Centre for Education and Training on Addiction (NCETA) to review Australian methamphetamine-related clinical guidelines.

Twenty-seven methamphetamine-related clinical guidelines were identified, some of which solely addressed methamphetamine (or stimulants) specifically, while others were generic but had component parts of relevance.

From this, NCETA developed a purpose-built framework to map each guideline according to treatment setting and target population. The methamphetamine-related guidelines matrix is an online representation of the framework developed by NCETA.

The following additional resources were compiled by the National Centre for Education and Training on Addiction (NCETA) as part of a project commissioned by NCCRED, auditing Australian clinical guidelines for methamphetamine use disorder as of September 2018. These resources were identified but not suitable for inclusion in the “Review of Australian Clinical Guidelines” as detailed above.
